Chelsea and Jourdan are the sweetest couple. They met on Bumble and 3 months later, took a summer road trip across the US and fell in love.

They already knew they wanted to get married and had their wedding at Chapel Dulcinea at the end of the year all planned out (because they are on top of it and I really appreciate that!) But they weren’t officially engaged and their upcoming wedding was still semi-under wraps.

They don’t live in Austin, but were coming into Austin for an anniversary weekend and were staying at the Driscoll, a super nice and fancy hotel downtown. Jourdan got in touch with me a week or two after they booked me for the wedding and said he wanted to do a surprise proposal at the pedestrian bridge downtown.

I’ve only done one other proposal and learned SO MUCH from doing it because a lot of things that could go wrong (like an entire band performing where the proposal was supposed to be, bad weather, etc.) did.

So for this one, I was super prepared. If you’re trying to coordinate a surprise proposal without tipping off their partner, use the Find Your Friends app and share you location temporarily. It’s a huge help!

Everything turned out perfectly. Chelsea was totally surprised and had absolutely no idea. Jourdan got down on one knee and started proposing, and a moment later I have a photo of both of them looking at me like “there’s our photographer!” and Chelsea was both surprised once more.

It was an awesome proposal (featuring their wonderful and cute Boston Terrier, Louie) and I can’t wait for their wedding at Chapel Dulcinea later this year. Keep scrolling to look through photos of this sweet, totally in love couple!
