Denise + Brad // Tiny Austin Wedding
My friend Denise and her partner Brad were originally planning for a bigger wedding, but they decided at the last minute to get married on her parentβs anniversary (Dec. 23rd). Brad knew a beautiful spot on the river at the high school he went to and she already had a dress. When she texted me to ask if I was available, I said yes and told her to get a bouquet.
Denise is awesome. She has an interior design company in Austin called Love Ding where she does design for real estate companies and home interior design for anyone who needs it. She also has a beautiful remodeled home where I shot Kassy Maloneyβs photos awhile back. Her taste is impeccable!
The wedding was tiny with just her, Brad, her parents, his sister, his best friend who he went to school with there (he was the officiant and married them), and their dog Rudy. We got there just as the sun was setting and it was really beautiful. Afterwards, we walked around the private school campus for photos.
I was so surprised when Denise texted me, and Iβm so glad she did! Everyone had a great time, and her dog was there and thatβs important. People often think they have to plan a large production to have beautiful wedding, but keeping it small can also be great and meaningful.
