Natalia + Eri // Casa De Luz Austin Wedding
Natalia and Eri met 8 years ago in Mexico City's Glorieta de Insurgentes, in a sea of people gathering before the city's annual pride march. They've been together ever since, including a couple years long distance and five years together living in Mexico before moving to Austin this past year.
They had the most beautiful non-traditional wedding ceremony at Casa De Luz, a vegan restaurant and event space. Their friends and family were there to help decorate, put up papel picado and celebrate Natalia, Eri and their perfect little perrhija Lara.
I think the first thing that took me by surprise (because I've never seen it done before) and actually made me tear up during the ceremony was listening to Natalia and Eri's friend remind us all that we were on land that used to belong to Mexico and will always belong to the Native Americans.
We spent some time taking photos in the lush corridors at Casa De Luz and made our way to Licha's for the reception. Their friends and family were incredibly welcoming and warm. So much Mexican food and so much love! One of their friends also gifted them the best wedding gift ever - some starter.
