Brenda + Christian // Houston Skyspace Couple's Session
Brenda and Christian met in college at Texas A&M and have been together ever since. They’re already married, so this was a couple’s session.
I photographed them at an outdoor sculpture at Rice University in Houston called Skyspace by James Turrell. It’s a really cool outdoor structure with lights and music that come on every day at sunrise and sunset. It feels like a little spaceship about to take off.
I had been wanting to shoot there for a while and things hadn’t lined up ever, so I put out a call on Instagram to see if anyone knew anyone who would be up for going there to take photos.
My friend and (probably yours too) Analisa recommended Brenda and Christian, who got in touch with me and came early on a Thursday morning to take photos there. I drove to Houston the night before and woke up super early to meet them there. The light was perfect and it was so much fun! They were great and easy to work with, and the Skyspace is such a cool spot to shoot.
