Recently, I photographed a wedding in California and decided it would be a perfect time for a little summer vacation with Mark. Most of our traveling lately has involved me going to weddings alone or trips back to Atlanta to visit family. I love doing both of those but I also wanted to make sure we had some time for ourselves somewhere new. Once this wedding got on my schedule, I made sure to make the most of it.

A couple of months ago, I set aside some time take some portraits of super amazing and super kind graphic designer Sarah Hutto. She's super talented and just a breath of fresh air. I let her know my crazy jumble of geometric and colorful ideas for a logo and she made me the best logo ever and I'm so grateful. 

 Sometimes you wake up and realize you need to go see a friend. This time that friend lived in Alexandria just outside of Washington DC. I had some time on my own to explore Oldtown, get my mom some bolivian goodies, and catch up with some people I haven't seen in what feels like a lifetime while consuming all of the food. All of it. :)

In about a span of 5 minutes, we started discussing how cool it would be to go to NYC to see friends, buy fabric, and eat everything, then found tickets, and set a date. This ended being one of the better decisions of this year.
